Luckily I keep notes on the refrigerator or I wouldn't be able to write this...I would have forgotten it all!!!
Livy is 22 months old now!!!! Only 2 months more and she will be 2!!!! Each month she changes more and more...it is very hard to keep track of what is new since shes does so much these days!!
Things Olivia has learned to do this past month:
* Last month Livy started saying "I love you!". This month she started to say "I love you too" and she says it to you first!!! So cute!!
* She was already pointing to her nose,belly, tongue, head, foot, hair, toes, eyes, butt, mouth, teeth, ears, knees, cheeks, and back!! She can point to them all and say them too!! We learned chin and neck this month!!
* She is saying a ton of new words: duck, ball, baby, bye bye, please (peez), thank you, grapes, cheese, shoes, sock, night night, ba for banana, crocs, Mack, snack, belly, no, tree, chair, cup, cheers, car, mo (more), bath, bow, hi, keys, bowl, spoon, door, potty, bath, done, hot, cold, dry, pants, shirt, drink, cup, milk, color, Doodle, trash, bubbles, squirrel, mommy, bra, gone, sink, truck, hug, side (outside), slide, swing, sit, kick, shake, toys, crate, frog, pig, towel, pull, draw, horse, bite, Grace (our neighbor), kitty kitty, i for ice cream, color, cracker, home, fly, bed, diaper, apple, turtle, fish, bird, owl, pink, meer (come here), Livy, mote (remote), road, treat, wipe, computer, bubbles, shovel, ribbit, cheers, bike, water, juice, waffle, shark, move, wall, zoo, push, pull, blow, table, mouse, home, gummy, paper, flower, toothbrush, tractor, trouble, purple, big, pink, Mickey, Goopy (Goofy), and work. This month she added: firetruck, sidewalk, read, squeeze, babydoll (not just baby), touch, flip, muffin, sleeve, blueberries, strawberries, boots, pretzel, chip, cheeseburger, cracker, noodles, football, morning, stroller, blanket, pillow, stretch, COUPON (mommy is so proud!!!)...and I am sure many many more. Her biggest accomplishment with talking is putting more and more words together. Mostly she does 2 words like "dog poop", "daddy football", "all gone", "all done", "go sleepy", "good night", but she occasionally does 3 words.
* The tantrums are at a standstill. We have implemented time-out, but it is hit or miss.
* Livy has learned a ton of animal sounds...snake, cow, dog, cat, sheep, duck, horse, owl, chicken, rooster, mouse, frog, and monkey. She can say lots of animal names now...hippy (hippo), dog, pubby (puppy), cow, pig, cat, kitty kitty, sheep, duck, horse, giraffe, lion, bird, bee, snake, owl, chicken, rooster, mouse, frog,crocodile, bear, goat, donkey, turtle ...and that is all I can remember!!!
* Our bedtime routine is still working great!!! She has to have 2 babies with her each night to sleep now...and 2 blankets!!!
* Livy's favorite show is still Mickey Mouse!!!
* She can repeat even more words from books now...Like in The Very Hungry Caterpillar, I read "On Monday he ate through 1" and Livy says "apple"!! She can do this for lots of words in this book particularly but also in Tumble Bumble too!!
* When in her highchair, Miss Priss now has to be strapped in each time. Part of that is so that she won't stand up in her chair...the other is because she yells out "strape" (long e sound) until you do strap her in!!
* When it is time to eat, you will know it!!! Livy loves to yell out "DINNER" at the top of her lungs to let you know the food is ready!!
* She LOVES M&M's now!!! She had a few at Halloween and talks about them all the time!! We do give her M&M's if she sits on the potty so that adds to the addiction!!
* This month Livy got her first health problem...athletes foot!!! We think it s probably from all the gymnastic floors she has been on lately. A little cream for 2 weeks and she is all better!!
* She got her flu-shot this month and didn't cry or flinch at all!! Mommy got hers done the same day and almost cried!! My baby is braver than me!!
* Livy is very lady-like. Anytime she has to poop, she goes away from you. Her newest place to do her business is the pantry!!
* She is in love with puzzles now!! She has a puzzle with different shapes and a Winnie the Pooh puzzle she absolutely loves doing now!!
* She started gymnastics this month and is doing great!! Luckily, she is very athletic and loves to run, jump, climb, etc!!
* One of the cutest things she started doing this month is saying "Bless You" when you sneeze or saying "Bless You Mommy". Man, that melts your heart!!!
* She still loves Mac-n-Cheese, or mac-cheese as she calls it. She also loves popcorn right now and Craisins still!!
Each day she gets smarter and smarter!!! She is so bright, and yet so stubborn!!! We are trying hard to be consistent with her. Say prayers we can continue this!!! We almost have a 2 year old...ahhhhhhhhhhh!! But we LOVE her,and her stubbornness!!!
This was a big month for her!!! She is changing so much each and everyday!! She is soooo smart!! We love you baby girl!!
