Christmas 2012

We love Christmas, and this year was no different!!!  Our Christmas vacation started on Dec. 22nd.  We packed up and headed to Kentucky to spend some time with Jay's cousin Grayson and his wife Alecia.  We always have a great time with them!!  We went to church with them on Sunday.  This was Olivia's 2nd time in big church.  She did pretty good!!  The preacher and youth directors are so nice there.  After church, they gave her a new children's Bible!!!  After church, we all went to eat lunch at the only restaurant in their small town...yummy Mexican!!!  After church, it was naptime for the girls.  Later that night, we went to dinner at Alecia's parent's house.  It was super yummy!!!  Olivia had a blast there.  She was bossy everyone around...Alecia, Alecia's mom (Linda), Alecia's sister (Jessica), and Jessica's boyfriend (Brian).  Livy had them holding hands, playing hide-in-seek, spinning, tickling, and just having a ton of fun!!!  She loved being the boss!!

On Monday, we had lunch at the Mexican restaurant again before moving into the cabin all of Jay's family were coming to stay at.  Everyone got there about lunch time.  We all sat around and talked, laughed, and relaxed after the long drives.  Then, Maureen and Kelley made spaghetti.  Everyone enjoyed a nice warm dinner!!!  Afterwards, the girls got baths.  Then it was time to open up their Christmas Eve pajamas!!!

Then it was time for bed...or so we hoped!!!  Olivia had another idea. Caroline went down for bed fine.  When it was time for Olivia to go to sleep, she refused.  She hadn't had a nap that day and it was later than her normal bedtime, so she was exhausted and showing it.  She screamed and screamed and screamed.  Unfortunately, she was in the same room with Caroline, so Caroline got woken up.  No fun.  Livy had a rough night all night long, waking up ever hour.  Luckily, Santa didn't skip us bc of all of the noise, and Olivia was in a much better mood the next day!!!

Later that night, all the big kids went to the movies!!! We went to see the movie "This is 40."  I picked out the movie based on the trailer I saw...and it looked so funny.  Well, the movie was not that funny!!!  It was ok.  At least we got to go see a movie!!!  When we got back, Caroline was sound asleep but Olivia had gotten to stay up later!!!  She ended up eating some snacks and putting make-up on everyone before going to bed!!!

The next morning, we all had to pack up and head back home...no fun.  We had a pretty rough ride through Illinois.  There had been snow the night before and it was pretty slick.  Luckily, Jay got us home safe and sound!!  Another wonderful Christmas has come and gone.

Here are some other pictures from our wonderful Christmas!!
