Livy's Cold Updated...

Well...Saturday night (4/3) was bad. Livy woke up and couldn't really breathe again. She was coughing so much and was so sick. We tried the saline drops and suctioning it out again but it didn't seem to work. Our goal was just to calm her down and help her breathe. She slept some but kept waking up coughing. It was so sad.
Sunday (4/4) morning was rough but that afternoon Livy started to feel a little better. She would only spit up about every other bottle and was starting to be a little more playful. We decided that she was going to the doctor on Monday just to have her checked out. We knew it was a cold and it had to run its course...but we wanted a second opinion. Good thing we took her...
Monday (4/5) morning, Livy was feeling so much better that I almost didn't take her to the doctor. I decided to still go. We had a 10:00am appointment. The doctor checked her out and said there was nothing more we could do for the cold. She did, however, find out that Livy had an ear infection in her left ear. She gave her some amoxicillin. I am so glad we took her!!! The rest of the day, she continued to feel better!!
Tuesday (4/6) morning, Livy woke up with the runny nose and a little cough. She seemed to feel good but still had the cold symptoms. We packed up and heading to Kannapolis. We were going to the funeral for my Uncle Gene who passed away Sunday morning. Livy did great in the car. We had lunch from What-a-Burger with Maw Hazel and Darla. Then we headed over to the funeral home for the visitation. Livy got to meet a lot of her family that she hadn't seen yet. After the visitation, we went to the chapel for the funeral service. Then we headed to West Lawn for the burial. We are very sad that Uncle Gene has passed away but know he is in a better place with my Mom and Papaw!! We spent a little more time with Aunt Darla and then headed home. Livy did a great job in the car again!! We didn't get home until about 9. She was a little fussy but ate and went to bed.
Today (4/7), Livy woke up happy and with less cold symptoms. She was eating fine all day and didn't spit up any food!! She still has the cough sometimes and a snotty nose, but most of her symptoms have disappeared. We spent the day at home getting quotes for a new air conditioning unit. Our is broken and it is hot in here.
Well...that is the update on us!!
