Another Ear Infection

Well...It has happened again.  Livy has another ear infection :(  Poor baby.

Friday (10/15/10), Livy got diarrhea due to her new tooth.  She was still in good spirits.  Saturday she still had the diarrhea but wasn't feeling bad.  We went to Jason and Brittney's baby shower and had a nice time.

Saturday night was an entirely different story.  Livy would not lay down at all.  Everytime I put her in her crib she just screamed.  So...by this time, Jay was home.  He napped for a while after he got off work.  Then he helped try to console Livy.  She was miserable.  She ended up sleeping in our bed but would wake up every 20 minutes or so screaming.  We had to elevate her head as much as possible to help her ears.  We went to the doctor first thing Sunday morning.  Luckily our doctors office is open Sat and Sun mornings from 8-9:30.  The doctor looked right in her left ear and said yep...there was an ear infection.  Luckily it was only in the one ear.  She gave us a prescription for amoxicillian.  She also gave us some soy formula to help with the diarrhea.  Then we were off. You could tell the medicine was working by Sunday afternoon...Livy took a nap with me and seemed to feel so much better!!!  That night, she didn't have any problems sleeping!!!!  Thank God for medicine!!!

Today (10/18), she still has a little diarrhea but not too bad.  Unfortunately, from the diarrhea all weekend, she got the worst diaper rash.  It seemed a bit better today but it is still awful...poor baby.  Hopefully it will clear up soon and Livy can be all healthy again!!!
