Olivia is now taking dance thanks to all the birthday and Christmas money she got this year!! She is the youngest in the class but seems to love it. She is starting in the middle of the year, and all the other girls started at the beginning, so we are a bit behind. When they tell them to do position 1, position 2, etc...Olivia is lost!!! She is VERY active and pays attention sometimes, but zones out other times. They keep telling me she will get better at it as she attends more classes. I hope so!!!
This past Wednesday (2/27/13), she just could not focus at all. She kept screaming and yelling when the teacher was trying to tell them what to do. I try to stay out of it bc it is not my class but had to step in this day. I had to pull her to the end of row of dancers and try to help. She seemed to do better with that.
I know she is new at this and will get it...I just hope sooner rather than later!!! She loves dancing and enjoys going to class. It doesn't help her focus problem when the class is at 1:00, and she is usually asleep at this time. You can tell she is tired. I just hope she can buckle down some and learn the dances before her RECITAL on May 18th!!!
