Yeah!! We made it to the Third Trimester (or we will as of tomorrow)!! Only 12 weeks left. That seems like such a small number but I am sure it will go by slowly. As I sit here thinking about what will happen in 12 or so weeks...I am terrified!!! :O I can't imagine giving birth. I guess I should have thought about that before now!! Oh well, everything will work out as God has planned...hopefully me without any pain, a short easily delivery, a beautiful red headed tan baby girl with blue eyes, and us getting lots of sleep!!! I don't think that will happen but I can wish for it!!
Well...lets see what is happening with Olivia this week:
Olivia is about 2.25 pounds now and is almost 15 inches long from head to heel. She can blink her eyes, which now have lashes!! She may be able to see some light that is filtering in through the womb. Her brain is developing more neurons and she is fattening up for her delivery (hopefully not too much though!!). Babycenter.com says I will probably gain about 11 pounds this trimester...hopefully more like 7-8!!
I go back to the doctor at 30 weeks and will go every 2 weeks until the last month I think. Jay and I are getting as ready as possible for Olivia. We think we have a pediatrician picked out already...one less thing to worry about. I am trying to work on my lesson plans so that someone can take over my class while I am gone. It is harder than I anticipated!!
Olivia is moving a lot lately. It is fun to watch the belly move and wiggle. Jay is getting to see it more now too. We have a busy 12 weeks ahead. We still have 4 baby showers that are coming. The next one is October 31st in Kannapolis thrown by my family!! I can't wait!!
Well...that is all for now. Sorry the updates are getting less and less but I am trying to get other stuff done and have less time to write. Plus, there really isn't that much to report these days. If something exciting happens, I will let you know!!
