Livy is 19 months old!!!! Over the last month, I think I have really noticed the most growth in her. It felt like the month was twice as long for some reason, but she can do sooooo many new things and she is always saying new words!! I am so proud of her!!
Things Olivia has learned to do this past month:
* She was already pointing to her nose,belly, tongue, head, foot, hair, toes, eyes, butt, mouth, teeth, ears, and knees!! I don't think she learned any new body parts (but we are working on elbow and cheeks for next month) but she can say most of them now!! She will point them out on me and say what they are!!
* Livy is able to use her spoon and fork and say spoon too!!
* She is saying a ton of new words: duck, ball, baby, bye bye, please (peez), thank you, grapes, cheese, shoes, sock, night night, ba for banana, crocs, Mack, snack, belly, no, tree, chair, cup, cheers, car, mo (more), bath, bow, hi, keys, bowl, spoon, door, potty, bath, done, hot, cold, dry, pants, and shirt. This month she started saying drink, cup, milk, color, Doodle, trash, bubbles, squirrel, mommy, bra, gone, sink, truck, hug, side (outside), slide, swing, and sit. Again, there are probably more but these are the biggies!!
* She still enjoys dancing...She loves spinning around in circles for her dancing!! We need to enroll her in a dance class soon!! hehe
* Livy is a smart girl. She has figured out that if she can't reach something on the counter, she can get the little step stool we have (and yes she can pick it up and move it all over) and put it to where she needs to be to reach up higher. She takes it into the kitchen and bathroom, depending on what she wants to reach!!
* She started giving hugs this month!! She will come to you and say "hug" and put out her arms or you can ask her for a hug. If you are lucky, you get one!!
* We are still working on the tantrums. She seems to be doing a little better each month!! They are def worse when she is hot or tired but we are trying to be consistent!!
* Livy has learned a ton of animal sounds...snake, cow, dog, cat, sheep, duck, horse. We have been working on chicken.* This month Livy learned a new skill...She can now open doors (7/16/11)!!! This has really changed things around here. We have to be much more watchful of her!!* Livy really got into coloring this month!!! She had to do it 2 or 3 times a day!!
* Livy is now able to get on her rocking her all by herself!! (7/17/11)
* She used watercolors for the 1st time this month!!
* Livy also started putting blocks together this month. She is also doing better at puzzles.
* She now says "cheese" for the camera!!
* We finally started a real bedtime routine with Livy this month. We haven't ever before bc she wasn't interested in reading books before bed. We would try but she would always get riled up instead of tired. This month, we tried again!! Livy gets her milk if she wants it or her passy...then she picks out 3 books...then she and I read in her rocking chair...then hugs and bed!! She is going down peacefully after this so far...keep your fingers crossed it continues!!
* We didn't start potty training again. We are waiting!! She is still telling me when she needs to potty and will do it right after but isn't interested in sitting on the potty right now. I am trying not to push her bc I don't want her to stop wanting to do it. We might start again next month or wait until 21 months...not sure yet!!
Wow...I can't believe she did all that this month!! She is saying over 50 words, which I think is probably pretty good!! She is super smart too. If you tell her to do something, she can do it. She is an amazing little girl!!!
