Olivia had her first visit to the dentist today. She did pretty well with the dental hygienist. She got to watch a movie on the TV screen. She got x-rays taken, which was the hardest part!! Then they cleaned and polished her teeth...no cavities!!! But, when the dentist came to check out her teeth...she had a fit. I totally understand bc the dentist that came is not so cool!!! We had made an appt to see the female dentist that is very nice but she got sick, so we had to see the male dentist. He is ok but lacks social skills...especially with children. Olivia had a HUGE fit and wouldn't let him look in her mouth at all. She wouldn't even stay on the dentist chair. Finally, she calmed down enough for him just to look in her mouth while I was holding her. After all this drama, she did get to go in the treasure chest and got a sugar free sucker!! She also got to join the No Cavities Club!! Woo hoo!!
