Preparing for Childbirth Class!!

Today was another fun filled day in the life of pregnant parents!!  After a long week of traveling from Minnesota, Wake Forest, and New York, Jay had to spend his Saturday in Childbirth Class...as if he hasn't see and heard all this before!!  It was a very informational class, just long!!  We were not very good participants either :)  You can imagine the facial expressions Jay was making when he was trying to help me breathe...I couldn't concentrate!!  All we did was laugh...which is good for the soul!!  We even had to practice several labor positions...I preferred any of them that had him massaging my back!!!  The women in the class got lucky with those!!  I couldn't take pictures of most of the day but did get a few of us changing the baby's diaper.

This is Jay coming back with our baby. Jay said it didn't look like him but that was ok bc he was going to have a paternity test with Olivia anyways!!  He swears I got pregnant while he was away in Wilmington...which is not true.  I was already pregnant when he left...just didn't get to tell him until he came back!!

Here is Jay taking off the old diaper.  He is laughing uncontrollably if you can't tell!!

Now he is more serious...He took his parental responsibilities more serious with putting on the new diaper!!

I gave the baby to him to change thinking I would get out of it.  Nope...then the lady said SWITCH!!  Here is my attempt at changing the diaper.  It is really hard to change the diaper of a very stiff rubber baby.  I couldn't get the legs to do what I wanted them to!!

This is how I thought the legs should be to make it easier...but I don't think it is safe to do that with Olivia!!

Here is pretend Olivia after she was changed and in a dry diaper...much happier!!

Here is Jay trying to pose pretend Olivia!!

As you can tell...we tried to make this a fun time.  I learned that both natural birth and c-sections are painful in their own ways.  Niether one sound like too much fun...but Jay says it is too late to worry about that now!!  We should find out on Wednesday if we need a C-section or not.  At least if we do, we should know about it ahead of time.  I don't care how Olivia comes out...as long as she comes out safe and healthy.  We know God is in control and will let us know what is best for us!!  When we find out...we will let you know the plan!!
