We are almost at the end of this long journey!! I can't believe it!! About 4 weeks left (give or take some days) until we actually get to have our little Olivia!!! It is very surreal but exciting!!
Durinng week 36...
Olivia should weigh about 6 pounds now and is about 18.5 inches long. That is crazy!! She is gaining about an ounce a day. She is shedding her downy hair that covers her body and the waxing outer layer she has over her skin. At the end of this week, she will be considered full term (37 weeks). She is supposed to already be in the head down position now...but that was not the case 2 weeks ago. Jay and I go to the doctor Wednesday for our last ultrasound and to see if she has moved into the head down position. She hasn't really started slowing down her movements yet. She is moving all the time, not just at night anymore. She has the hiccups a lot more lately too. She is constantly trying to push her way out. From her movements, I don't believe she is head down...but I am not a doctor. If she is not head down, we are going ot have to do a C-section. I am not even going to try and let them manually move her into the right position. Jay says it only works about 20% of the time anyway. Last time I was there, she was trying to feel all over my belly to find out what position she was in. That hurt bad enough...I can't imagine what it feels like when they are trying to make her move. We will just go with the planned C-section and survive!!
Well...it has been a busy month. Jay has been flying to 2, sometimes 3, interviews a week. He really likes the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and Wake Forest down here. Those are his favorites so far. He was not very fond of New York. He has 2 interviews this week and that will be all until January. I am glad bc we have a lot more things to do to get ready for Olivia and he needs a break from all this traveling. We have our Christmas dinner with Jay's family on Sunday. That should be fun!! We have almost finished our Christmas shopping...just 2 more people to go!! I wrapped all the presents tonight that we already have.
Mack is doing well too!! Tonight I turned on the swing to see how he would react to it. He wanted to get in the glider with me. In order to do that, he got under the swing to jump up but kept hitting his head on the swing. He couldn't figure out what was keeping him from jumping!! It was very funny!!
Well...it is my bedtime now...Will update you on Wednesday when we find out what is new with Olivia!!

Good Luck...I hope she turns.
