Jay and I went to another doctor's appointment today. Today we were seeing if Olivia had moved to head down in the last 2 weeks. She was breech the last time I went. Today, when Dr. Maddison checked me, she said she said she could feel Olivia's head and that she had moved into the head down position. She aslo said we were 1 centimeter dialated. This really doesn't mean a lot right now...but she said it was better to be 1 centimeter dialated now than nothing at all...so we are happy with the results. They didn't do an ultrasound today (which I was sad about) because Dr. Maddison could check where Olivia was...If she was breech, she would have done an ultrasound to find out her exact location.
I measured 36 centimeters at the belly area...so Olivia should be on the normal size for weight as of now. When they weighed me, I LOST A POUND in the last 2 weeks!! So now I haven't even gained 20 pounds this pregnancy...which I am ecstatic about!!! I am excited because you all know how much I love to workout....NOT!!! So the less weight I gain now, the less weight I have to try and lose after Olivia arrives!!! Plus, if I have to push this little bundle of joy out of a very small opening, I want her to be HEALTHY and small!!!
So...as of now, everything continues to go well. It is crazy that we will have a child (hopefully) in less than 30 days. I am still hoping for her to come the last week in December because Jay continues to get more interviews in January...seems like he has one every other day. Luckily most of them are driving distances...but it still is unsettling that he might not be here when the entire process starts. I am also annoyed that I have created 3 weeks of sub plans for the first 3 weeks the kids are back and I will probably be the one teaching them...so I will have to make even more plans. That makes me frustrated!!!! But, as long as our baby comes out healthy...we are all going to be happy!!!
We have another doctor's appointment next Tuesday. Hopefully we will be a little further along with dilation...but not too far since we are going to the mountains for Christmas!!
Well...that is all for now!!

Thinking about you! I know you can't wait. I was so anxious at this point! I will be praying for an early, but safe and healthy birth! She's going to be just beautiful and I can't wait to see pictures of her.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh...thanks Lauren!! I am very excited to see her!! It has been a long process geting here but it is definitely worth it!!
