Me and the discharge nurse.
Spending a little time together while waiting for the ped to call back.
Of course...when were getting her dressed, she had a poopy diaper. I almost made it out of the hospital without having to change even one diaper...but I figured this was my initiation into mommy-hood!!!
So...we put Olivia in one of her cute outfits and took a lot of pictures!! Daddy gave mommy a wonderful pearl set with bracelet, earrings, and necklace. We took some pictures of the jewelry with Olivia also!! I am sure she appreciated us posing her :)
Check out my pearls on my foot!!
Now check out my pearls on my arm!!
The happy family...very happy to be going home!!
Jay and Olivia before getting in the carseat.
Olivia getting in her carseat for the first time!!
In the car...ready to go...LET'S GO DADDY!!!
WE WERE HOME!!!
Once we got home, we cut the hospital bracelets because we were not going back!!!
Big Mac meeting Olivia...he has become very protective of Olivia!!
Aunt Darla came to help take care of me and Olivia since Jay had to go to his interview. I don't think she minded helping us out!!!
Jay telling Livy bye before heading off to UVA...he was very sad to leave her but he knows he is doing it so that she will have a wonderful future ahead of her!!
Later, our good friends Kellie and Ellery came to visit. Ellery has been saying she is having a baby as long as I have been pregnant. She now says she is having 5 babies!! She gave Olivia a kiss!! Ellery has provided Olivia with a closet full of clothes also!!
Aunt Darla usually shies away from babies but not Olivia!! They are best friends!! Darla jumped right in and helped out with feeding Olivia!!
Then Olivia gave Darla some love by passing gas on her :) It was hilarious!! It was not the best smelling thing ever...Darla tried to fan the smell away!!!
So...after that...we all headed to bed. Olivia did not sleep that well night one. She wanted to get up every 15 to 30 minutes and I could not figure out why. Then mommy finally figured out that her room was too cold...however, I could not figure out how to fix it right away. So...by about 3am...Olivia slept with mommy for a while. Then, after Olivia's next feeding, the room was warm and Olivia slept the rest of the night in her own bed. She just wanted to be warm...and I can't blame her!!!
Here is Olivia right before going night night...
