Well...I went back to the doctor this afternoon. Nothing has changed. Still 1 centimeter dilated and somewhat effaced. We did talk about our options if she is not here by next Tuesday (her official due date). It is tough trying to figure out what to do since Jay has so many interviews still left to go to. We have decided to be induced next Thursday (Jan. 14th) if she doesn't come on her own. Unfortunately, Jay will have to cancel one of two of his interviews. Hopefully, they will actually get to induce her on the date they schedule us for instead of making us wait like they did Lee and Kelly.
We are very excited and nervous at the same time. We know everything will work out for the best!!!
Just a few notes for our friends and family!! As most of you have already heard from me, we will call you and let you know when Olivia has arrived. I would really prefer a little bit of time for us to bond with her and to try and work on breast feeding before we have a ton of people over. It also depends on what time she is delivered and if there are any complications. We know you all will respect our wishes because you love us!! After she is due, please wait for us to call and let you know we are ready for visitors. We will try to call a few people after she is born to give stats and updates...but will call again when visitors are welcome. Also, please try not to come visit before 9am....as you know neither Jay nor myself are morning people.
After we come home, we will need time to adjust to this also. Please call before coming to visit. Depending on how things are going, you may or may not get an answer. Please don't come if you can't contact one of us...just in case we are sleeping or trying to rest.
We appreciate all your help, support, and prayers during this exciting time in our life!! We just want everything to go smoothly and for us to be able to adjust to being parents. Thank you for humoring all my craziness!!!! Love you all!!
